You “CAN” Preserve the Garden

A workshop on the basics of canning to help you turn your garden produce into delicious canned items to enjoy all winter long.
If you are longing to be more self-sufficient this class is for you!
We will be demonstrating the tools that are used in the canning process and walking you through the steps of how to turn various foods like apples or tomatoes into canned sauce.
We will also be discussing the difference between water bath canning and pressure canning and why you should not be afraid to pressure can!
We will have samples of traditional foods like sourdough bread and kombucha as well as some canned foods for you to enjoy
This event is free. Bring your kids or bring a friend!
