If you need assistance due to mobility restrictions, please let our receptionist know when scheduling your appointment. We will make arrangements to meet you at your vehicle to administer the vaccine. For questions or to schedule an appointment, please call our office at 701-852-1376.
Flu vaccination is especially important for people who are at high risk from flu; many of whom are also at high risk for COVID-19. With both dangerous and deadly viruses circulating this fall, it is more important than ever to get your flu shot this year. We strongly encourage everyone 6 months and older to get the flu vaccine early this year. It can take up to two weeks to build immunity against the flu.
The flu vaccine injection is $52. The pneumonia shot will also be available. Payment will be collected at the time of vaccination, unless you bring in your insurance, Medicare or Medicaid card.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone over the age of six months be vaccinated for influenza, including all adults. Adults age 65 and older will receive high-dose influenza vaccine this year at all First District Health Unit clinics. High-dose influenza vaccine induces a higher antibody response in this age group, increasing their level of protection against the flu virus. All vaccine offered by First District is quadravalent, including the high-dose vaccine.
For your modesty and convenience, we recommend you wear a short-sleeved shirt to the clinic. For a list of other public clinics and other information, please see our website at www.fdhu.org.
