Are you curious about the lives of older LGBTQ people in our state? The Minot Public Library will be hosting a PowerPoint presentation at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 22nd in the North Meeting Room. “Breaking Barriers: Harvesting LGBTQ Stories from the Northern Plains: Three Journeys” vividly evokes the challenges and triumphs of this pioneer generation in their own words. These three interviews are part of the Red River Rainbow Seniors ongoing oral history project. Organized by the North Dakota Library Association, this program is made possible by a grant from Humanities North Dakota, a nonprofit, independent state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. For further details, contact the Minot Public Library at 852-1045.
